Super 150s + Fabrics
So I'm getting a few suits made- normally I would go for super 110s or 120s merino wool...but my tailor is trying to convince me that the 150s and 180s (english wool and cashmere blend) are much finer quality.
In your experience how do these finer fabrics pass the test of time? If you have 6 suits in your wardrobe, and change everyday do you expect the 180s to last a few years and hold up as well as 110s?
Feedback appreciated
In mz experience finer suits look better, but are more prone to accidents and require more care. It can also be that I am more prone to suit-damaging accidents when wearing good fabrics XD.
ok thanks so wearing 150s and 180s on a weekly basis should hold up ok with good care? worth the extra $ according to you?
i think that might be a bit high to hold up to regular wear.
They are finer fabrics indeed, but they won't resist the daily wear. Stick with 120's

Those fabrics are great when you have a huge rotation of suits but until you have like 10 suits, stick with 120s. I've made the mistake of going with a higher thread count wool and the suit didn't even last a year.
Note that I'm pretty hard on clothes in general.
