Audit Exit Opps

What’s up wso,
I’m currently interning at a Midwest regional bank within their internal audit department; great team, culture and atmosphere. However, I want to make tons of money and find high finance quite intriguing (as with a lot of other people I’m aware)

I was thinking of a potential path to take to break into banking. It being I get hired on, work in that department for 2 years post undergrad whilst studying for the gmat and getting into a T15 MBA program. Become an MBA associate.

If there are any better potential paths to take your input/advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, if there are other areas of finance that make good money besides the big 3 (IB, PE, HF) I’m also open to entertaining those fields.
Thanks
