ML groups lifestyle

Hey Everybody,
I've just accepted a summer analyst position with Merrill Lynch, and am trying to decide on which groups to select (we get to rank our groups). The difference in lifestyle is pretty important to me -- most importantly, the average weekly hours for groups. Does anyone know how the groups hours differ? I've heard M&A for Merrill is the toughest with 100+ hours (average) per week, but what about the other groups? Specifically, LevFin and Sponsors? Anybody know anything about the Industry groups? I would imagine that they differ in hours between themselves as well? Thanks for the help!

are you guys using the housing thing from them or finding it on your own? Also how many days is this thing is April? Are we interviewing with each group or just meeting them?

I'll be living at NYU . . . I don't want to risk being stuck with a random roommate who's on a completely different schedule than me. I get the impression that they're not going to tell us much about the lifestyle with the groups though, that's why I was hoping to get some info from the board.

in HC sucks, but all of last year's summer analysts got full-time offers so, while the summer will blow, the odds for a full-time job are decidedly in your favor. And, b/c the group is so strong, you'll spend the time doing actual work instead of constantly pitching.

I got an offer at ML, and even though I haven't accepted it yet I probably will - what is this housing thing you guys are talking about? because I'm right now looking for NY housing

I heard ML HC lifestyle isn't that bad. Are you referring to New York or SF?

New York. I don't know where you heard that, but unless you're a total masochist, trust me, the lifestyle in that group is bad.
