Recruiting Timeline
Can anyone that’s recently been through the recruiting process quickly run through the timeline of things. Like when internships applications open, when to apply by, when to start networking, when to receive an offer by, etc.

Career Resources
Recruiting gets earlier and earlier every year, and ik kids that finished this cycle in January (diversity), and also I was in processes for both CVP & EVR that gave out offers in February as a non-diverse male. For a lot of these banks, their processes kicked off before their app even opened, and you could also get lucky and be on an accelerated timeline that makes things go even faster. Anyhow, this just shows that you gotta start hella early and hit the ground running; I started networking in January and I honestly it was a time crunch, but the kids Ik that did the best started networking around Oct/Nov, or even in Aug. Since recruiting gets pushed up abt 1 month every cycle, I’d recommend that December is the LATEST you want to start networking in the next cycle (given offers will probably start coming out en masse in February extrapolating off my experiences this cycle, with diversity likely finishing in late December/early January), and if you want a leg up I’d recommend networking in the Fall or even over the summer.
One other piece of advice that I don’t see much but I heavily recommend is to do a double major in another subject that can differentiate you. With how competitive things are nowadays and a lot of kids being pure finance, you gotta have something that separates you from the masses; the kids I know that did the best all were double majors, and most popular are finance/CS or finance/biology. Nearly everyone Ik that did something like that ended up with a top BB/EB, or a bank that they really wanted.
Overall, do something interesting over the summer so you can talk abt it in calls/interviews, grind technicals for like 2-3 months in the fall and start networking early, do a double major, and you should be perfectly set in the process. Best of luck
