Any decent boutiques fully remote?

Just doing this job as a means to an end for the next several years...plan is to pocket as much money as I can, then pivot over to corp dev or a startup after saving enough dough to buy a nice house. I currently live in NYC, want to move back home (tier 2/3 city but over the past several years has gotten pretty hip) where it's cheaper and more outdoorsy shit to do. Tbh I've enjoyed NYC so far, but I can definitely see this getting old for me in the next year or two. Would love to move back home and have the freedom to work out of Florida/Costa Rica/some ski town for a few weeks whenever. Anyone know of any decent firms that offer a fully remote option?? Thanks in advance!

Much more "tiny irrelevant boutique" than MM, but Big Path Capital was remote even pre-covid and has some interesting work in the impact space.

No name brand or recognizable MM (or even half-decent corp dev or corp finance function) is going to let you be fully remote anymore, outside of an existing one-off exception for a superstar employee - and even the ones that do offer remote won't let you work outside of the US because it's a huge potential tax/work visa problem.

Why not get a finance job somewhere more outdoorsy? Denver has a surprisingly strong finance scene, assume you're from somewhere like there. But truly doubt you're going to get significant remote flexibility unless you really shift gears to something in tech.

Thank you, this is helpful. I just changed the title..you’re right I guess I’m not expecting any well known firm, more so just some boutique that doesn’t completely suck. I recall getting a recruiter email like 10 months ago offering a position at some industrials focused boutique based in Tampa (founded by a few ex BB seniors, with the option to be fully remote). Not sure if said firm sucks or not but made me think this was a viable option…

Dm me. Ik a IB firm that is fully remote and looking to hire. Would post it if I could anon but can’t because of the dumb MS ratio thing
