Lateraling Internationally for FT

Incoming SA at Balance Sheet Bank M&A Group in NY, Non-Target School

Super excited for the upcoming summer but have always been interested in recruiting internationally at specific global finance hubs (London//Delhi).

Does anyone have any experience recruiting for FT internationally? I'm not even sure the timelines would match up for the 1 month period after SA for FT recruiting.

International recruiting is typically very difficult, and NY experience is the gold standard and will help you in any location down the line. London can be a tricky visa unless you go to one of their "high potential" target schools, and Delhi is mostly outsourced jobs for these BBs and not traditional IB.

I would consider doing at least 1 year FT in NYC and then lateral internally if you want to live elsewhere. The visa issues and timing aren't a problem when moving internally.

I can understand wanting to experience working in London but why in the world would you want to work in a backward and pisspoor country like India?
