Most Prestigious/Safest/Gentrified/Old Money Neighborhoods in NYC For Summer Internship?

I'm a current sophomore at a top private (think W/H/Y/P/S) and secured a junior internship at a most desirable sell-side shop (think CVP M&A/PJT RSSG/GS SSG/GS TMT/PWP Industrials/MS M&A) and a sophomore internship at a highly prestigious buy-side place through a combination of networking and the pure strength of my CV (think Global Platinum Securities/WITG/PEVC/WUFC + Exeter/Andover/Deerfield/Eton/Westminster) that can even punch through the black hole that is online applications.

Given this, I will be spending the next two summers in NYC and my parents are highly concerned for my safety, as I grew up in tranquil ivory towers (think Greenwich/Nantucket/Montauk/Southampton/St Tropez). I want to avoid the undesirable parts and people of NYC, you know what I'm talking about.

I want to live in a neighborhood full of preppy attractive men in high finance and women who only work during fashion week.

My choices right now are Tribeca, Soho, East Village, Upper East Side and Noho.

If someone can shed some light on how to avoid the undesirable people and buildings (which ruins my view, I want to see well-maintained aesthetic architecture populated by the blue-blooded), please advise.
