Questions about being a boomerang employee

I'm about to return to my former bank after leaving the industry for a short period of time as I thought the grass would be greener outside of high finance. I have a few questions about being a boomerang employee and would appreciate and views based on your experiences as a boomerang or working with boomerang employees:

  1. Will my former colleagues treat me differently or is it likely my time away from the firm will hinder my progress?
  2. How would internal moves be perceived in 1 - 2 years time (i.e. if I wanted to move from one industry team to another after a period of time)?
  3. What would the normal / acceptable period of time be at the firm before moving on again (I'm assuming at least 3 years)?
