A QUESTION FOR IBD & S&T Analysts

I have a friend(American-from NYC) who is an International Airline Pilot for Emirates. Flies widebody Airbus aircraft globally. He is very well compensated, $200,000 per year, mostly tax-free. However, he wants to make a move into Banking. IBD or S&T. He is 30 years old and has a BA from a State University. GPA 3.5. Major Basketweeving(general studies). Question; How difficult/easy would it be for him to land a front office position considering his age and Being non-ivy educated. Im sure the interviewers do know that being an international airline pilot is no joke as well. Its equivalent to being say an MD in banking as far as the level he is in with the airline. Good info would be appreciated.
