I have a pretty big collection (~25 3k+ watches, a few of them being heavy hitters), been working for 8 years, also got fortunate through my PA. But my no-date Sub 14060, Vacheron Overseas Gen 2, Pepsi 16710, and NTTD Omega Seamaster probably get the most wrist time right now.

Just wanted to ask all the successful primates on this lovely forum, what watch do you wear? Curious to see what different people are looking at. Would also be great if you could comment how long you've been working.

Depends on the occasion, I’m big into watches. For me:

Everyday/outdoor: Vacheron overseas or Czapek Antarctique

Dressy: Patek 5159 or ALS Lange 1

Most days, just less outdoor time (in office, walking around the city): ludovic ballouard upside down or Voutilainen Vignt 8

Wow, you have impressive tastes. As a person who clearly knows watches how is a Glashutte panomaticlunar viewed? Is this a respectable watch on its own or too much of a Lange 1 knockoff

They are excellent watches and I owned that exact one and loved it. Not seen as an “ALS knockoff” at least not by anyone who knows watches. I would say they are a “good value” relative to many brands out there.

Wondering whether the Czapek is the drake one? If so how is the finishing? Have an opportunity to purchase for below retail

No it is the Antarctique. I would say the finishing overall is good, I like the watch but it isn’t my favorite. But I like what the brand does and how responsive they are to customers (even if they have been very slow on delivery).

Managed to secure the waitlist during Covid period, when they were pretty desperate for cashflows (Had to buy a Lange 1 to secure the waitlist). Took around 6months for it to arrive (Received it Jun last year). To be clear this is the full steel model!

Still wear the same no date 114060 I bought with my signing bonus many years ago 75+ % of the time. Have a GO PanoMatic Lunar and mint green DJ I also wear from time to time but I still reach for the no date more than anything else.

My go to is a Tudor Glamour Date Day. I also have a rolex oysterquartz that was my grandfathers that I’ll wear from time to time usually on special occasions.

Otherwise have a few citizen, timex, seiko watches that were all under $300.

Seiko Prospex SSC813 - Bought it as my first “real” / entry-level watch thinking I’d spend bigger money on a higher end piece a few years later. Since then it’s grown on me a lot, and I’ve come to love it. I actually don’t think I’ll drop those big bucks on another watch until at least a couple more years. The Seiko looks great, the solar-powered battery is somehow always charged (I’ve never had to make a conscious effort to charge it), and it’s frankly pretty durable. Definitely banged it up a few times and there’s hardly a scratch on it. Can’t recommend it enough for someone who wants to get into fine watches but isn’t ready to spend thousands.

Four in regular rotation:

Panerai Luminor 1950

1980 - 16800 Rolex Sub

Bell & Ross br03-92 (this was a gift - is my sport / I don’t give a fuck watch)

Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167A - special occasions

Submariner probably gets the most office use

I am also on the bigger side so the Panerai and B&R don’t look ridiculous.

Picked up a Tudor Black Bay 36 in blue (the smiley version). Love the versatility of the piece and how it flies under the radar. It is also incredibly comfortable. Before the Tudor, I wore a black Bulova diver everyday that was gifted to me for ~4 years

I'll wait a few years for my next big purchase, but I'm thinking either a Cartier Tank or GO Panomatic. In the interim, I might look for a good deal on a vintage Omega, Junghans Max Bill, Baltic Aquascaphe, or a Nomos.

I just bought the BB54 for my wife, and love it. It's unbreakable so she will maybe not destroy it lol. Good pick on the Tudor!

The GO Panomatic is wicked. When I had a Lange 1 and a Panomatic Lunar at the same time, I never wore the Lange 1 and at current used prices, I'd take the GO all day > Lange.

Thanks! Love the BB54 / BB58 as well, but feel they're too similar to my BB36 to pickup anytime soon. I love ALS in general, especially the Lange 1 and the Saxonia Thin (the black and blue speckled dial ones are amazing). Don't know if I'm ever going to be able to save up for one so the GO is a perfect realistic goal (and a wonderful watch in its own right).

Hi everyone, I wear an Apple Watch Series 9 and have been working in marketing for 5 years now. It's always interesting to see what watches different people choose!
