Macquarie Private Equity / Credit Analyst

Any info on the MacCap PE / PC analyst role? Looks like it's in their principal finance group and they invest in several industries (TMT, industrials, healthcare, etc.). Seems to be separate from the Infra investing group (MIRA) that Macquarie is known for.

Any idea on what exits look like? Can an analyst / associate in the group lateral to a UMM/MF PE/PC fund?

Source I worked at Macquarie in NYC in a different group. Exits have included places like Blackstone Credit and Diameter and Blackrock in the past, I'll ask my friend and update this when I get more color on this. Great group, well-regarded within Macquarie. Sort of structured like a hedge fund in terms of how lean it is, culture is pretty good and a lot of people within Macquarie, at least among my friends there, wanted to/want to lateral there. Promotes fast if youre good, know a guy who went from Associate to SVP (the level before MD) in 5ish years. There's also good opp to lateral within Macquarie, theyre just building out a growth group and real estate group, I believe both within Principal Finance, that sit right next to each other and Macquarie is pretty cool with internal lateraling so thats something to consider.

Other exits include KKR credit and Redwood

Do mind DM-ing me? I am currently on the process for an analyst position and would like to learn more about your experience there. Thanks!

Wrong Redwood (ie; not the distressed credit HF version).
