Fisher Brothers
Couldn't find a previous forum so decided to ask here. Has anyone ever interviewed here or know what it would be like working here? Gives typical family office generational NYC feel. Looks like they are still actively deploying capital on both there old assets and new developments. Any insight on comp, reputation etc. would be greatly appreciated.
Did you hear back on the opening? Not sure how active they are but very successful firm and good name in the industry - one the main NYC families that have been around for 100 years for whatever that means. Have heard some of the family may be not the typical firm (heard one ran 7 marathons in 7 days across 7 continents and built a studio to train in an office) so not even the normal family office and power is very centered at the top. Billionaires and very smart, just not sure what you would be working on.
wait... some dude(tte) ran 26.2miles across all seven continents incl. Antarctica? Can people just go to Antarctica and run 26.2 miles in big ol' winter boots and puffer jacket? I'm genuinely curious about that now.
Posted comp is awful for associate level.
That's true, I hate that they play off prestige and pay terribly. But that seems to be the market right now since employers know there are so many candidates looking and the job market is bad.
Prestigious places pay well. 110k is first year analyst salary in NYC lol
What is the all in comp here?
The posted salary range is 110-125. Given that, I’d imagine all in isn’t exceeding 175k. First year associate base salary at some funds is 175k at this point. Really shitty
NYC families are never going to pay as much as institutions. There's a reason all the top performers gun for BX / Starwood / GS / etc rather than Fisher / LeFrak / Silverstein / Rose / etc.
Has anyone taken the modeling test here?
I saw they took the role down, not sure if it's a real opening. They had it up a month or so ago then a few weeks ago.
Unless you heard back?
It’s a real posting - I heard back.
Was invited to take the modeling test here was told it will be a combination of Excel/ Argus and have about 2.5 hours. Any recommendations on what it could be versus more than just the standard change some assumptions in Argus, export to excel with some debt, that will lead to a waterfall. If there is any type of development piece what could be expected?
