Real Estate in Europe

I was thinking about starting my real estate company in Europe. I know it's a bit off, but I think Europe is more exotic, What do you guys think? Should I start it? Or it's only a waste of money and time?

It would heavily depend on what you are trying to do. Since there are a lot of countries, languages, and legal environments in Europe, there is no generic answer.
If English is your native language you'd probably be more comfortable in the UK and IE, initially. If you are more on the corporate side of things and want to work across the entire continent, then I'd have to speak to our REIT guys to get a feel for what's going on.

Completely depends on what you want to do. On the developing side the EU single market is really not single at all. For investing it's a global market market as long as you are willing to pay and have the right connections. Europe can be quite old-fashioned in the sense that connections and who-knows-who are definitely important.

Check out the Berlin market right now. Just heard the German MD of Hines give a solid lecture yesterday. German markets seem like they’re doing very well.
