Accounting or Finance major for non-target California State School

Hey y’all I’m another non-target wanting to break into the IB industry. I’m attending a state school in California that isn’t a target for IB but is heavily recruited by the Big 4 in accounting. I’ve seen many students on Linkedin who major in accounting secure IB internships from my school since it’s known for its accounting program. Should I focus on having a high gpa majoring in Finance or should I major in accounting given the reputation and skillset it can help me with modeling? Has anyone gone through the diversity programs IB’s offer, if so how did you land the opportunity and did you get an offer back? I’m hispanic btw.
