IU IB Workshop VS. FSU Noles on Wallstreet
Hey everyone, this is my first post so I apologize for any mistakes. Currently a senior in high school, looking at my limited options for college, I'm currently considered as an international student so that has hindered my chances quite a bit, but that should be resolved soon enough. My best option currently are IU (business direct admit) and FSU. I'm looking to break into IB in the future so there's quite the road ahead in either a semi-target or non-target respectively. To get to the point, FSU is way cheaper and more accesible while IU's Kelley gives me more options but it is more expensive. Is IU's "IB Workshop" worth going vs. FSU's "Noles on Wallstreet"?

Not sure how much the cost difference is between your two options, but if it is significant, I would go with FSU. I am currently a workshop student at IU, and each year it is getting more and more competitive. Many students like yourself are coming to the school just for a workshop, which is a terrible idea. If that is the only thing attracting you to the school, you will have a miserable four years. Trust me I have seen the process play out for students only coming for placement, and when things don't work out it gets ugly. That being said if you find the school appealing for other reasons and it is in your means to come, Kelley offers plenty of opportunities outside the workshop.
Go to FSU. Go check out the Noles on Wall Street website right now- they are absolute savages and the offers keep getting better every year. Don't be discouraged about being an international student as the program has had incredible success with students in your same situation. This year's class is the most successful by far, and if students like you work hard to get in, the program gives you every resource to break into IB and get you to where you want to be.

Avoid FSU if you're not diversity. It's better to consider a different non-target school in a more favorable location that will enable you to secure semester internships. Just looked at the Noles website and it seems they only take about 10 students per class… very strange.
I despise both schools but IU kelley places better. FSU and FIU have strong placements via diversity.
if you got into UF that’s another option. Would take whichever one is cheaper in that situation.
I was considering going to FIU but I am not diverse so I fear that would destroy my chances of breaking in. I'm smart and think I would finish near the top of the class but would this not matter because I'm not diverse and they really only place for diversity. I've been considering ASU heavily as well.
