MSc Finance Profile Evaluation (LSE, LBS, HEC, SSE)

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if I could get an assessment of my chances for the following programmes (2023 intake): Oxford MFE, LSE MSc Finance, LBS MFA, HEC MIF, SSE MSc Finance. My main targets are Oxford, LSE and LBS.

My profile:

If I happened to get offers, which one to choose? My objective is to break into investment banking/markets in London.

Academics/internships are solid for LBS/LSE/HEC, can't speak about Oxford because their average GMAT/quant score is higher, but it's a good shot

You have a good shot at all of these, in case you have to choose: Oxford MFE > LBS MFA=LSE Finance > HEC > SSE

That’s not considering costs tho. I was accepted to all of the above except Oxford, and would advice you to go with SSE, which will be free for you, and not even bother applying for the rest. It will land you the same job offers - I srsly know of a lot of ppl who paid for LSE/LBS/HEC only to end up begging for an internship at a regional bank in their country of origin.

Yeah some benefit greatly from the masters but it’s not worth the risk if you’re paying for it, imo.
