Help my MSF Decision: WUSTL MSF WAM vs BC MSF
New here, so if there's any mistake please let me know.
I'm now admitted to both Wash U at St. Louis MSF Wealth Asset Management program and Boston College MSF.
I am an international student aiming at staying in the US for work, so I chose those with STEM.
After reading through many articles and comparisons, I am still hesitant about the choice between the two. Here are my infos received from different forums.
-
Course arrangements: WUSTL(1.5y) seems more complete and better in terms of course quality than BC(1y).
-
Locations: BC is near to Wall St. and perhaps there are more opportunities to get in touch with people there, while WUSTL is kind of far away.
-
Career Service: Some said that BC's career service is not as good, but I can't find someone to verify this.
-
Ranking in Finance field: WUSTL is better than BC in most rankings.
-
Environment and Living Conditions: Looks like BC has a more convenient and hustle environment where many activities are held, while WUSTL is relatively the opposite.
Also want to ask if the overall living cost is higher in Boston than in St. Louis.
Those comparison might include some stereotypical opinions since I just randomly browse on the net and haven't really been there.
Thus, if there's misunderstanding about them, I'm really eager to know the real situation.
Not intended to criticize any of the schools here. They're really too attractive for me to make a choice.
Just want to know your opinions for the decision between these two when one wants to get a decent job in IB industry(idealistically BB or NYC based) in the US.
Thanks a lot.
Hey netb, sorry about the delay, but are any of these useful:
