Richard Ivey vs. Paris Dauphine
Im a Canadian with dual citizenship in France,
Lisence en Gestion from Paris-Dauphine
vs.
HBA from Richard Ivey
which school has more prestige in the business world and which can open more doors worldwide?
Do you know what kind of banks and consulting firms recruit at Paris Dauphine vs. Ivey?
Ivey can lead to every single Canadian bank, as well as many US banks (though they'd be behind US targets for selection). I do know of people that graduated from Ivey and have gone to New York (GS/MS/JP) as well as London (CS/BarCap/GS)
Ivey-HBA. It's a Bay Street target and a Wall Street semi-target. Can't get anything better than that outside of the traditional US targets (Ivies, Stanford, Duke, UChicago, etc.)
This guy I know went to Dauphine.
He interned at Rothschild + Lazard.
He's now working in the MENA region.
I'd like to know more, can I DM you?
Dauphine if you want to work in europe, but especially in france. your set up very well. one of the 5 or 6 schools most major banks will exclusively recruit out of in france
I think it comes down to where you want to work at the start North America vs. EMEA. However I feel like Ivey name does carry more prestige and as Sovjet said major banks does recruit there. Furthermore Ivey is more recognized and will lead to more lateral opportunities in North America. I honestly have not heard of anybody from Dauphine working in the Americas but I'm sure there are graduates in France and Europe. It's also quite important to check out the employment reports, Ivey HBA just released their new 2011 reports for summer and full time and I must say its quite impressive this year. I'm not sure Dauphine would have any statistics but you can trying searching.
Ivey all the way. The placement rate is superb. That being said, I am biased and don't know much about Dauphine.
