SSE vs RSM for Msc
Hey guys. Currently have two offers… Msc finance from sse and accounting and financial management from RSM.
A little background: Asian, did my bachelor in Europe as well and had an internship at blackrock for half a year. More into finance than accounting. I would like to stay in Europe after graduation and wonder if the 2 year program will help in this case
There is not even a debate. If you were comparing RSM MSc Finance and Investments against SSE MSc Finance it would be different, but you are comparing RSM MSc Accounting against SSE MSC Finance so clearly you should go to SSE. If you were admitted to SSE MSc Finance programme but not to the RSM one I guess it´s because you miss the deadline.
Exactly, i know it's stupid to compare. But from the perspective of landing a job in finance industry (ib pe asset management …whatever)
does msc finance at sse have a better brand name? Will I get a better shot by doing more internship during thr 2 year program?
If you would compare SSE Accounting, Valuation and FM vs. RSM F&I - How would that be in terms of prestige, reputation, and recruiting?
From what I´ve read SSE it's slighty better than RSM (and I'm doing the MSc Finance and Investments at RSM next year), but I am no expert.
Thanks! Should definitely apply for RSM as they process really quickly. You can at least have it as a backup option
Well to be clear SSE is solid for finance. But if will be way more expensive for you than RSM. RSM is still a really good university with a much larger alumni network (which is important long term). Hope it helps :)
That's true. The size of alumni is SSE is really small! But I heard that the career office there is really helpful
Yes, the class size is around 95 students so yes it is easier compared to the 300+ at RSM. But yes SSE has one of the best career placement in Europe.
