Well deserved thank you to WSO!

Afternoon monkeys,

I just wanted to take a quick moment to thank everyone on this sight who has given me good, and sometimes harsh advice. I just graduated from a very small private school with a 3.5 GPA, decent internship experiences and hardly any connections. I've had quite a few interviews, always ending up getting dinged in the final rounds and have also applied for probably somewhere around 500 jobs over the past year. The constant rejection was very disheartening, however I've finally landed a full time gig as a Credit Research Associate at a large Asset Management firm!

Something I've learned that has been invaluable to me on WSO is the value of networking. I was referred to the position from a connection of a connection on Linkedin after I sent him an email. After so many of these types of cold emails, I honestly didn't expect anything to come of it. However I received a first round interview, and as some of you may have read, I had to conduct all of my interviews on crutches.

I received an offer the day before my graduation and it has been the greatest feeling in my life since coming from Montana, staying out here for very long was really not much of an option for me.

Anyways, thank you to everyone again. This is a great forum with an awesome community.

Best regards

Loved the crutches story. So college.

Congrats on the offer. Time to update the username.
