The Firm is a growing middle-market private equity fund that currently manages over $700 million of committed capital across several fund vehicles. They focus on investments in high-quality, founder-owned companies where they take either control or minority stakes to support acquisitions, inactive shareholder liquidity, or various growth capital needs. They concentrate on B2B service companies, particularly those with strong tech enablement and diverse, recurring revenue streams.
The Associate supports all aspects of the investment process and management of a series of private equity funds. You will be joining a group of seasoned investment professionals with broad experience across several industry sectors and will work closely with all team members in a flat organizational structure.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct industry and company-specific strategic and financial research, as well as competitive and valuation analyses
- Develop and prepare financial models (LBO, forecasting, M&A, credit, etc.)
- Support all aspects of the due diligence process in evaluating new platforms as well as add-on acquisitions
- Preparation of investment memoranda, management/investor presentations, and all other materials required in the investment, fundraising, and fund management processes
- Support the ongoing valuation and management of both the financial and operational aspects of portfolio investments
- Liaise with external third parties, including lawyers, accountants, consultants, and bankers
- Develop relationships with existing and potential clients and other deal partners
- Complete additional ad hoc projects as requested

Requirements:
- BS or BA from a top-tier undergraduate institution
- Minimum of two years of experience in investment banking, accounting (transaction advisory / due diligence), or similar capacity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver insightful analysis in a polished format while working in a less structured environment
- Creativity, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to work well with diverse teams of stakeholders
