Summer Intern Challenge

Think you’re the smartest summer intern? Prove it.

This summer, Bloomberg is hosting the BAT Summer Intern Challenge. The challenge aims to recognize the best and brightest interns as the future finance stars of tomorrow. In order to participate in the challenge, students must take the Bloomberg Aptitude Test (BAT) in June or July of this year.

The top 200 scorers will receive an invitation to an exclusive networking event in New York or London on August 1st, 2013, where they can interact with smart peers and impressed friends. The New York event will be held at the Bloomberg Headquarters at 731 Lexington Avenue and the London event will take place in the Earth Hall at the Natural History Museum.

The top scorers will enjoy the company of other smart interns and be given the opportunity to enhance their social and business networks exponentially.

In addition, attendees will have the chance to interact with prominent event speakers and members of the Bloomberg team.

To secure your attendance at the event, regardless of your final BAT score, help us spread the word. Secure 20 test takers for a session and we’ll add your name to the guest list!

The top 10 performers from each global region (Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific) will be featured in the BAT Hall of Fame. Visit our site to check out our current top scorers - http://about.bloomberginstitute.com/hall-of-fame

You can take the BAT right now online or at a scheduled physical session in your area (on a university campus or at a Bloomberg office). To learn more about the Summer Intern Challenge and to register for the BAT, please visit http://about.bloomberginstitute.com/summer-intern/

Just based on the current hall of famers, this competition does not seem prestigious enough

If it's such a walk in the park why don't you ace it and raise the bar higher?

The problem I find with this test is that it takes place during the time in which we are at our internships, so making time to actually take the test is near impossible. Would be nice if they offered the test on weekends or in the evening, not 1 in the afternoon... Just a suggestion.

Hi everyone,

My name is Blair and I am on the BAT team. Thanks for your questions.

1) For your convenience, we have set up sessions outside of normal work hours, including early morning sessions (6:30am) and late night sessions (7pm & 8pm). In addition, you can now take the BAT 24/7, online, at home with our new e-proctoring feature.

2) We have over 300 companies currently using the BAT to connect with test takers for internship and full-time positions. The companies using the BAT include large investment banks, hedge funds, and asset management groups. We are currently filming more success stories videos of test takers who received jobs from taking the BAT to add to the ones currently on our website.

Feel free to reach out with any other questions that come up.

Blair
