Three Weeks and One Day to Go, But Who's Counting?
The beginning of June was a month ago, and the wait for my Level 2 CFA test results continues. I am a seasoned veteran of this excruciating process. After waiting two months to find out how I did, I and everyone else in this predicament then have to wait another ten months to take the next test.
I've decided to kill time by studying for the Part 2 FRM exam--and to enhance my skills in financial modeling. I believe the two exams--CFA and FRM--complement one another, providing a review when the syllabi overlap and providing deeper understanding when they don't. And the financial modeling will be a tangible skill that will help me land that breakthrough job in finance that I've been preparing for--or so I hope.
My memory of the actual test gets blurrier with each passing day. I remember leaving the test site in New York City feeling elated and exhausted. Early in the morning, my wife and I were sitting in the car with the rain falling on a long line of people waiting for the doors to open. By the afternoon, the rain was gone, replaced by a sweltering heat.
As I've written before, as a CFA candidate, I am prohibited from discussing the content of the exam. I can only hope that my efforts, as well as the efforts of my fellow CFA bloggers, were enough to propel all of us to Level 3.
good luck buddy
