Why should affirmative action be banned? Let companies do what they want.

Viva La Raza!

umm, because it's unethical? Thanks to liberals, it's constitutional to hire a black guy over a white guy because 90% of blacks are raised by a single parent and go through "setbacks." This is most definitely white people's fault and they should suffer the loss of their dream job (sarcasm).

If it makes you feel any better, AA hurts Asians more than it hurts us white guys. If popular AA programs (like those that are typically used in elite college admissions) disappeared tomorrow, it'd simply increase the population of Asian students while not really affecting that of whites.

There's no real sense losing sleep about things you can't change, man. Life's too short.

But AA is supported by the US Government!

CFPB:
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) today announced the selection of Stuart Ishimaru to head the newly established Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI), which will work to promote diversity at the CFPB and at the financial institutions it regulates.

“Americans from all walks of life use consumer financial products and services. We should strive to reflect that diversity because, in the end, it will only strengthen the work we do,” said CFPB Director Richard Cordray. “Mr. Ishimaru’s extensive experience in promoting diversity makes him the perfect person for the job.”

Mr. Ishimaru has spent much of his professional life working to foster greater diversity in workplaces.

....“I am thrilled at this opportunity to be a part of a new era of consumer financial protection,” said Mr. Ishimaru...

Yes, this is a real thing: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/pressreleases/consumer-financial-protect…

No wonder this country is going down the tubes. When people get hired because of their skin pigment rather than their skills, the quality of the workforce get fucked up and everything goes downhill.

consider the blond blue-eyed hispanics who got into HYP on affirmative action.

hey it's a competitive world you have to play all the angles. it's easier to accept if you think of it that way.

Why is it assumed that if you get an internship through a SEO you are unqualified?

All the SEO analyst alums I've met seem pretty smart, some were definitely lacking interpersonal skills. Not sure if that is just an analyst thing, in general

thank you brother man. thank you, I wonder the same.

I feel a lot of Asians train all their anger at Blacks because they can't take on whites and win. so they beat and beat and beat on the few blacks who have been successful. I find that troubling.

How many times have you worked with a shitty white analyst? how many times have you worked with a shitty Hispanic/Black analyst?

I'm going to make an arguable statement here, many Hispanics/Blacks will have to work twice as hard to get the same reward as maybe one of their white colleagues. And if they fuck up, they will be punished with twice the wrath of what the others would get.

I've always been told, you have to play the game better than them and not become emotional over their antics.

There are more shitty white analysts than black analysts for the same reason there are more car crashes than plane crashes. QUANTITY.

Sorry to bump this thread, but I have a few questions. Forgive me for my stupidity.

What is a SEO? Does it stand for Sponsors for Educational Opportunity? If so, how does it benefit minority groups? I am a Hispanic man(100% Costa Rican), but I look white. Let's say I am a good-looking. Am I considered as a URM? If so, will I be at a big disadvantage?

Thanks in advance for your time, monkeys.
