Hearing Back After BCG Final Round Interview

I had my final round interviews for a Northeast office of BCG yesterday and thought the interviews went really well. Although I was originally supposed to have two 45-minute interviews, I had a 3rd additional informal chat with a partner before I left who wanted to answer my questions and "see where my head was in terms of BCG". When I told him that I had skipped another MBB interview in order to make it to BCG final rounds (which is true), the partner gave me a fist bump....so I thought I was in the clear.

I, however, did not get a call yesterday. Although HR technically tells everyone that it's a one week turnaround, it seems like BCG is known for giving same-day offers. Has anyone gotten a BCG offer 2-3 days after their interviews? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

How Long Does It Take to Hear Back After BCG Superday?

While some users shared that it is typical to hear back the day of the interview, it is not uncommon to have to wait several days or a week to hear back either way about getting the offer to work with the Boston Consulting Group.

Probably not what you want to hear, but a friend of mine just heard back from the New York office a couple hours after his interview yesterday. Search through a couple of WSO threads and you will find some people who noted getting offers a few days afterwards. It might vary office to office. There's also a waitlist possibility.

Best of luck.

One of the partners I interviewed with responded to my thank you note saying, "Thanks. It was good to talk with you. Enjoy the weekend"

Is this a ding? I feel like if the partner wanted to give me an offer, he would've just called me after seeing this e-mail....or am I reading way too into this?

Also interviewed at a BCG Northeast office yesterday and heard back the same day. That said, don't worry too much...you can't do much about it either way now. You'll be fine, regardless.

I was waiting more than two days (became already desperate and thought I did not pass) after final round in BCG before receiving an offer. As I see, unless you get a call or email, there is still a chance for any result.

I interviewed at the DC office last Friday (10/18) for the associate position, and I have not heard back yet as well....anybody from the DC office get any news--positive or negative?

You are on the alternate list. This has happened to a lot of my friends, just call them tomorrow or Wednesday and touch base. The offer is definitely something to put on the table, just make sure they know you will accept BCG on the spot if you get it (if that's what you would really do).

Reality hits you hard, bro...

i interviewed in a u.s. office this past saturday morning, but for a position in an asia pacific office. no news whatsoever; i am so nervewrecked. b the way are ppl here mostly applying as associates (BA) or consultants (phd, mba etc)?

Man, you need to be really good when the interviewer did not let you finish the case and get passed right away. Even if the overtime casted some doubt on him, the performance overall over the recruitment process and being able to resolve the case creatively put you in a great position.

It may happen that they will call you on once again to have another interview if they have some doubt but, in my opinion you are well positioned, they only thing I can tell you is try to stay calm till wednesday comes (really tough I know).

Hope you get the offer!

Congrats man! Enjoy the rest of business school.

Earlier this year I interviewed with BCG on a Friday and got the call the folllowing Monday, and several friends had the same happen to them, so I think a 2-3 day wait is standard for BCG.
