EY - Business Advisor Program 2nd Round Interview

Hello, all.

I was granted a second round interview fore EY's Full-Time BAP Program in New York City. I wanted to ask anyone who has gone through the case in a previous interview and if they can provide insight as to what I should study (ie., P&L, entering a new market, pricing, or growth and increasing sales).

I feel confident in my behavioral interviewing skills, but just wanted to hear what some of the cases were like during the second-round interview. Thanks!

Congrats on your second-round interview! I'm just coming off an EY BAP internship from the summer, so I recruited with EY's BAP program last fall.

The case I was given was a written case. Basically, I and a senior manager were in the interview room, and I had to flip through this 15 page document (about a struggling clothing company) within 20-30 minutes. After the time was up, I discussed my approach to solving the problem with the manager for about 15-20 minutes (walking him through my structure, what struck me as interesting, my recommendation, what I would have liked to further explore with more information).

It seems like EY wants their candidates to do well within case b/c they even provide the candidate with a sample framework to solve the case. Mind you, I recruited in fall of 2016, so if they have changed the process, I wouldn't know.

My experience with the final round in NYC (keep in mind this was more than a year ago).

Case Interview: they gave some really basic financials of a crappy bank that is an acquisition target. Then they asked what the acquirer should be looking at and whether there are any red flags that stand out.

Writing: Basic essay

Behavioral Interview: Your usual questions about your background to help identify leadership potential and your willingness to work with others
