OC&C

I'm considering my applications for next year and am trying to do some research. Heard they specialize in retail and tech, and are big in London, but other than that I can't find much information on the firm and was wondering if anyone had any interesting insights?

My experience of OC&C is based purely on the London office but if it helps....

OC&C are pretty highly regarded in London for Retail and Consumer. They also do work in telecomms, tech and media and business services. I think it's slightly different in the US where they additionally do some FS work and maybe some other industries as well.

I'd say they were in the top 10 strategy firms in London, on a par with LEK, Monitor, Parthenon etc.

For starting positions their salary is the best out of all the strategy firms in London in order to try and persuade people to go with them over MBB. Apparently the way they compete is by saying they'll do a project in 5 weeks that say BCG will do in 6 which means it works out a bit cheaper for the client. This has the downside of meaning OC&C work longer hours - something they have a bit of a reputation for in London - so you'll get paid more than at MBB but you'll work longer for it. That said, everyone I've met from OC&C has been very friendly and easy to talk to so if you're going to be working long hours they wouldn't be a bad bunch of people to be stuck in the office with.

Hi guys !

I'm bumping this thread because I'd like to know if you have any more insights on OC&C, especially in France. I know this office is quite good when it comes to retail & consumer, but are they known for other industries ?

Thanks a lot !

My contact may be able to help me do something over the summer in Asia, not the US, so does anyone know how good they are in Asia? Also, are there any other good non-MBB consulting firms I should try and check into? I know that Oliver Wyman, LEK, Parthenon, Monitor are all popular choices here, but any others? Also, to the above guy, what if you get into Deloitte/Accenture business strategy and not the ops side? Are they still that bad?
