Hearing Back After BCG Final Round Interview
I had my final round interviews for a Northeast office of BCG yesterday and thought the interviews went really well. Although I was originally supposed to have two 45-minute interviews, I had a 3rd additional informal chat with a partner before I left who wanted to answer my questions and "see where my head was in terms of BCG". When I told him that I had skipped another MBB interview in order to make it to BCG final rounds (which is true), the partner gave me a fist bump....so I thought I was in the clear.
I, however, did not get a call yesterday. Although HR technically tells everyone that it's a one week turnaround, it seems like BCG is known for giving same-day offers. Has anyone gotten a BCG offer 2-3 days after their interviews? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!
How Long Does It Take to Hear Back After BCG Superday?
While some users shared that it is typical to hear back the day of the interview, it is not uncommon to have to wait several days or a week to hear back either way about getting the offer to work with the Boston Consulting Group.

Probably not what you want to hear, but a friend of mine just heard back from the New York office a couple hours after his interview yesterday. Search through a couple of WSO threads and you will find some people who noted getting offers a few days afterwards. It might vary office to office. There's also a waitlist possibility.
Best of luck.
Best of luck. Keep us informed.
I don't think the hearing back after a day is a hard rule for some firms. I've heard of plenty of people who have heard back a few days after for both consulting and banking interviews and have gotten positions. Give it another day or two.
Good luck!
One of the partners I interviewed with responded to my thank you note saying, "Thanks. It was good to talk with you. Enjoy the weekend"
Is this a ding? I feel like if the partner wanted to give me an offer, he would've just called me after seeing this e-mail....or am I reading way too into this?
You're reading way too much into this.
There has been many other threads on this topic already, but usually the absolute yeses hear back the day of. (Not just for BCG but for MBB in general). But you can absolutely still get the offer. You just have to wait and see.
Also interviewed at a BCG Northeast office yesterday and heard back the same day. That said, don't worry too much...you can't do much about it either way now. You'll be fine, regardless.
I was waiting more than two days (became already desperate and thought I did not pass) after final round in BCG before receiving an offer. As I see, unless you get a call or email, there is still a chance for any result.
Relax bro. I interviewed on a Friday and heard back on a Wednesday.
.
I interviewed at the DC office last Friday (10/18) for the associate position, and I have not heard back yet as well....anybody from the DC office get any news--positive or negative?
Anyone know the turnaround time for DC office?
BCG - Final Round - Hear Back? (Originally Posted: 10/31/2011)
Hey all,
Sorry to post another one of these, but I interviewed last Friday at BCG. A girl I met at the interview exchanged numbers with me. I was told we'd hear back by today (Monday) and my new friend did this morning. She was not extended an offer.
What does it mean I haven't been contacted?
If I have an offer deadline Friday for another firm, should I send an email pressuring them for a decision?
Thanks for the help.
Wait till tomorrow, then send an email if you haven't heard back by 3 PM i'd say. You very well could be an alternate. I wouldn't "pressure" them, just explain your situation.
You are on the alternate list. This has happened to a lot of my friends, just call them tomorrow or Wednesday and touch base. The offer is definitely something to put on the table, just make sure they know you will accept BCG on the spot if you get it (if that's what you would really do).
I interviewed in SF on Friday and have not heard anything. Has anyone else heard back?
I interviewed as well, but have not heard back. I know someone at the same office got an offer yesterday, so I'm not too hopeful.
i interviewed in a u.s. office this past saturday morning, but for a position in an asia pacific office. no news whatsoever; i am so nervewrecked. b the way are ppl here mostly applying as associates (BA) or consultants (phd, mba etc)?

BCG Final Round Decisions (Originally Posted: 10/26/2012)
Hey everyone, had final round interview in NJ office today, and didn't ask when to expect decisions. Does anyone know how soon the NJ/NY offices typically take to respond after the decision round? I heard a rumor that those extended offers would hear tonight but is that true? Has any one already heard from New York or New Jersey offices or know what turnaround time usually is? Thanks folks.
You will likely hear Monday/Tuesday either way. Don't fret because you didn't hear today (Friday).
I heard back same day (Friday) at a different office. One of the other candidates who ended up being rejected heard back Monday. Either way, all decisions should be given out before Wednesday. Good luck!
Normally Mon/Tues, but with the storm I would say possibly Wednesday. Patience young one.
exceptionruled, which office? and were you extended an offer? if so, congratulations on making it through!!
.
Yup, thanks! PM me for office. Did you hear back yet?
Anecdotal evidence, but everyone I know who was extended a BCG offer (5 over 2 years) heard back the night of the interview.

I interviewed in the NYC office (downtown one) on the 31st .. this past friday. Has anyone heard back yet? I'm assuming it's a no for me at this point since I heard they generally give same day offers
They get back on Wednesday. Chill your pants and it's just consulting...
was this for full-time?
yep, FT (undergrad)

Man, you need to be really good when the interviewer did not let you finish the case and get passed right away. Even if the overtime casted some doubt on him, the performance overall over the recruitment process and being able to resolve the case creatively put you in a great position.
It may happen that they will call you on once again to have another interview if they have some doubt but, in my opinion you are well positioned, they only thing I can tell you is try to stay calm till wednesday comes (really tough I know).
Hope you get the offer!
BCG Boston Final Round Results? (Originally Posted: 11/04/2012)
I just had my BCG final round interview (NY office) this past Friday for a consultant position (I'm still in my second year of MBA in an Ivy League school). Now almost 48 hours have passed, and I have neither received any phone call or email.
Anybody who also applied to BCG NY this year or last year? When did they notify you for your results? By email or phone call?
I originally thought it will be a straight same-night offer or rejection, but having waited for 48 hours now really make me nervous!
Its the weekend. Relax
You'll get a call sometime tomorrow. Relax.
Thanks, guys! Got the offer yesterday around 3pm, and that's 72 hours after my interview!
Congrats man! Enjoy the rest of business school.
Earlier this year I interviewed with BCG on a Friday and got the call the folllowing Monday, and several friends had the same happen to them, so I think a 2-3 day wait is standard for BCG.

Hey everyone, I know there's been a couple posts like this one in the last few days, but I wanted to check if anyone's heard anything back from the SF office specifically. I don't know anyone else who was in the final round, and I'm not sure how quickly the SF office is known for notifying candidates (the presumption being quickly, but it'd be nice to know what timeframes yes's/no's/waitlists respectively go out).
If I get a call from them before anyone responds I'll let y'all know. Thanks for any info =)
Update: just got the call, no offer unfortunately. Good luck to all of you though!
Hey, sorry to hear things didn't work out! I'm in a similar position in the sense that I am waiting for a decision on my final round with BCG London. Out of curiosity, what feedback did you receive?

Just wondering if anyone who's been interviewing at the BCG Boston office for the associate position (undergraduate) this week/last week has heard back from the firm? There wasn't a lot of people interviewing from my school so just wondering where other people are?
target or non-target?
Target, to clarify, there are a lot of people interviewing from my school for BCG in general but not a lot for the Boston office

Sorry for the post, but has anyone heard back from last Friday's (10/18) interviews? The waiting is just so tough. From looking at the posts, it seems like Boston/NY have given out offers but wanted to see if DC has as well.
Thanks. You guys are lifesavers!
