Jay Butler and Meermin Mallorca come to mind. Not exactly the same as the Gucci/AE design, but they're close enough. There are probably others.
Beckett Simonon. With the 20% off code it comes to $160.
However: 1) They come in and out of rotation. Looks like they're out of rotation at the moment. 2) Due to demand they might not ship for another month or two
You can get these exact loafers for around $200 during one of the AE sales which come around about twice a year. Also see this topic:

The issue with cheaper loafers specifically is that they tend to fall apart/look terrible quite quickly.
I would use Allen Edmonds b-stock site to buy a pair. By far the best bang for buck. http://shoebank.com/
Otherwise, I would actually go cheaper and save for a pair of John Lobb / Edward Green loafers.
Thoughts on Tod's loafers? NOT the driving shoes
I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but I think you're far better off with investing in a quality pair of bit loafers. I thought about going with Allen Edmonds but the new model can't be re-soled which deterred me.
I went with Gucci but I also wear Ferragamo drivers and both have held up well.
This is the answer you won't want to hear. I would personally purchase a pair of Horsebit Gucci loafers for $500. I have had mine for over 6+ years. I would also recommend Ferraragamo. Once again with a recommendation, these are loafers you don't ever want to get wet, ruined two pairs of suede gucci loafers when the weather was perfect and it started raining out of no where in Florence, Italy.
Honestly I don't think the Ferragamos are good for the money. I have a pair that I love, but I strongly regret not going John Lobb/Edward Green instead right off the bat. WAY better shoe. Pricier, yes, but also an incredible shoe.
Have you heard of M.Gemi, they are handcrafted Italian shoes that are around that price of $200, I owned a pair of drivers and they were fantastic, it is definitely something I would check out.
Not going to lie, not the biggest Ferragamos fan, I agree with m_1
Yeah. I just ponied up for the Gucci bits. So worth it. Ferragamo is just a bit more flash than I need / can pull off.
