Hedge funds industry in Russia?

Does anyone here has experience working in a hedge fund in Russia , I am a foreigner studying management in Russia know fluent Russian ,can anyone advice me how to get into hedge funds here in Moscow?or general opinions about the industry in Moscow are appreciated.

There are virtually no traditional hedge funds in Moscow due to the policitical/legal climate. The next best thing are oligarchs’ family offices but even then they mostly do PE-style investments.

Thanks dibs99 do you live in Moscow, and can you tell me what is the best way to network into investment industry in russia as they don't often use LinkedIn or other professional networking sites?

Tbh the way to get into the investing side of things is very similar to that in Europe. So you could do 2 years in IB (Sberbank or VTB cap preferably) or consulting (Big4/MBB) and then HHs will hit you up once you are on the job for the buyside positions. Alternatively, you could try and network your way into some of the family offices but that would be next to impossible.
