Distressed/Turnaround Data
Anyone know of a data provider with an API that allows you to pull:
-Industry (not a huge deal if not, can work around this)
-Event type. IE DIP approval, Chapter 11 filing, confirmation of a DIP loan
-Contextual quantitative metrics. Something like pre-petition debt when applicable, or the amount a DIP loan was for, etc...
-Allows you to pull dockets
Any ideas? Debtwire kinda sucks and doesn't have very much data available (all things considered).

I’d check if the major claims agents have api’s/automated screens. Looks like Epiq has an automated search tool called AACER that pulls from all bk courts, might be close to what you’re looking for.
If you don't like the Debtwire one, I think Reorg is starting to build out their own DIP database as well but I don't know if it includes all the other information.
If you're buyside and you don't want to pay for it / don't have the manpower to pull it on your own, I would ask your friendly investment bank / law firm for the data (you can just have a junior guy at your firm ask the junior guy at the bank). Your average restructuring boutique is going to have mountains of DIP comps and law firms should have corporate finance departments with the DIP data. Even if they don't have the specific information set you're looking for, they'll just have a junior guy manually scrape dockets for you.

Would second the Reorg Research recommendation - platform is better than Debtwire for searching and pulling dockets. Also, as mentioned, they're building out their various databases for comps but also already have very in depth intel / news articles that highlight the types of events mentioned in real time and provide amounts with context.
Debtwire has a Restructuring Data database add-on available for an extra charge too, though all of their data (reorg's databases too) need to be scrubbed if 100% accuracy of comps is necessary.
