Appropriate time to contact recruiter after final round interviews?

Hey everyone, I was just wondering how long after final round interviews is it appropriate to contact HR about offers. I was originally told I would be contacted Thursday afternoon/Friday (Thursday was my final round) about offers, but still haven't heard back from them yet. Would e-mailing them tomorrow be too soon or should I wait it out a bit longer? Pretty nervous right now actually, haha. But the fact that I still haven't been rejected yet should be a good thing? Any advice would be great. Thanks!

It doesn't necessarily mean anything if you haven't heard back from them yet. One time, I had a Thursday final round interview and they said they would get back to me either that afternoon or Friday, and they didn't. On Monday HR calls to extend me an offer. For an interview for the same position on a different week, my friend heard back right after his interview (late Thursday afternoon) that he'd been put on hold. So don't read too much into it :)

My advice is to wait. If you haven't heard back by Monday, try giving HR a call. Good luck!

I always say not to contact HR - they will work according to their own schedule no matter what you say.

But now I wonder, is it possible that HR might think of your silence after some time as a sign that you don't really want the job that badly?

I wouldn't worry too much about what HR thinks. They don't make the hiring decision. If anything I would contact anyone you might know in the firm and see if they can do your bidding. That might be a more efficient way of finding things out.

Uh...so I e-mailed them and they still haven't gotten back to me. Is it normal for banks to just not say anything if they reject you after final rounds? I've had final rounds with BB's before and they got back to me by phone regardless of whether they were extending me an offer or not. Would it be ok to just call them at this point?
