MD saw me naked via Zoom - virtual internship - what do I do?

Hi Monkeys,

I have started my virtual summer internship this week. Today, before a Zoom with my team I logged early on to the call to make sure I do not miss anything, leaving my computer to change from my PJs to a formal dress code. Half way through dressing up I discovered that my camera was still on...

Of course, I run to mu computer to switch the camera off, but clearly there were people on the call including my MD. I am sure of them noticed that I was changing, but did not want me to make me feel embarrassed and did not say anything. What should I do?

Controversial

Aren't zoom calls stored in the cloud? Is it possible to share the video with us so we can better judge what you need to do next/and if there will be any repercussions for you?

Thanks. You can PM me the vid if you don't want it on a public forum. Happy to view it for you.

Op - no worries. Just don’t mention it. If someone does, just make a joke out of it and shrug it off. You’ll be fine.

Good Luck

I used to do Asia-Pacific PE (kind of like FoF). Now I do something else but happy to try and answer questions on that stuff.

I’m not sure if you’re joking or not. If OP isn’t a troll nor a woman he is definitely not fine. If I were OP I’d move to Cleveland/Baltimore and never work in banking/finance again this has to be the worst story I’ve ever heard in over 25 years in this industry. Some people have an incredible lack of attention to detail. Disappointing.

This is clearly BS since OP said they just started work this week.

how could they have done "great work for us this summer"?

Same thing happened to me except it was only the VP and 2 other Analyst on the call. Dw we just joke about it sometimes now

Might not be the first time he's seen an intern naked, but as the saying goes never be the first never be the last

Few players recall big pots they have won, strange as it seems, but every player can remember with remarkable accuracy the outstanding tough beats of his career.
