Navy and grey. Black suits are for black tie events or for funerals.
Navy and grey. You want people to take notice of your work, not your wardrobe.
Looks like you're going to a funeral. Also if you wear a white shirt and take off your jacket, you look like a waiter at a fancy restaurant. Navy blue, dark grey/charcoal are most common and you honestly can't go wrong with either.
Thanks for the input everyone that makes sense about black suits
So does the same go for interviews for black suits? should you wear a navy or charcoal suit instead for interviews?
Yes
If your interview is being conducted at night at a soiree or a funeral, you should wear black.
Navy or Grey, but there are shades of grey that can be 'off' so if you only want to have 1 suit, I'd go for navy.
People already nailed it, navy and grey. Can't go wrong here. Although, i'm not going to lie, black can do the job imo, just got to change it up with tie and shirt colour. I'm not actually too sure that people will really take too much notice if you're in black.
because they secretly want to see you wear a WHITE SUIT with a RED SHIRT and a BLACK TIE
I recommend watching this guy on youtube @The Gentleman's Gazette, he speaks a lot about formal men fashion and I learnt most of what I know thanks to him.
Black suits are for events, funerals or security guards otherwise.
