Do you think Trump is going to win the 2020 election?

Yes, The Donald is getting another term. Biden is stuck in his basement, Kamala won’t let him out. Nobody likes Kamala anyway, she and Biden are the exact type of politicians people are tired of and the reason why Trump got elected in the first place. Even the minorities they pander too are tired of them, recent polling have shown that many minority groups, including blacks and Hispanics, are siding more with Trump this time around compared to 2016. Things can happen, but I’m pretty confident Trump got this one in the bag. Looking forward to the debates, should be great entertainment.
This reads like Fox News...
Haha yeah I guess it does, but still it’s true (not the part about Biden and the basement) the black and Hispanic vote for Trump is higher this time around, even the Washington Post (which is apparently fake news) admits this. Kamala Harris is not a likable politician at all. People within her own party don’t like her, neither does the people she tries to pander too. I’m repeating myself, but hope you see I’m not trying to be like Fox News. Didn’t give u the ms either btw.
Where do these minorities live?
My bet is that these people already live in non battleground states.

Put out by a Democratic source (left of center). This should tell you something.
Pretty good article. Yeah, I think there is a mass of people normally a bit left, but may vote for Trump. They don’t have Trump stickers and are not vocally for him, but could be there for Trump in the voting booths.
OK, I read the article and I have to point out that:
1) Was written by a conservative from AEI (not someone from the left as mentioned twice above.
2) This is debatable( I can see it’s appeal to trump supporters), but I can’t agree it was “a good article”. She begins by praising his alleged accomplishments including “China” and lol, “Middle East Peace”. The problem with that is she then lists in her fears about trump ‘international trade’ (China) and ‘conflict and terrorism’ in the Middle East. She refutes herself. The rest of the piece is a rehash of RNC talking point #1, that Democrat=communist. This one is so flawed because it’s merely playing on raw fear, no substance.
She also skips over many trump negatives. China policy, the ME, and the direction a Biden administration would take us in can be debated, yes, but she clearly is writing a pro-campaign piece with a bias.
Lastly, she mentions something about how maga (people) does not ‘represent the mainstream of the GOP or guide the choices of the vast mass of GOP members of Congress’. She’s talking about the GOP Congress that has been in lockstep with trump since Ted Cruz kisses the ring.
Disagree with me on trump, fine, but I was that was not a well written piece, nor was it written by someone on the left.
What do you mean? The author is with AEI, which is a conservative organization.
I was referring to the Washington Post.
The same author is a neoconservative, rejects climate change and supported and still supports to this day the Iraq War.. SMH
Right now it’s a toss up. 2020 has been a disaster for him and the country, yet here we are with Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania polling as “toss-up”. He has more weapons at his disposal, as the incumbent, than he did in 2016.
So too close to call today.
I think we all know why Wisconsin is a toss-up...
Do tell.
Yeah
I don't understand why Trump gave Bob Woodward so much access - seems like a political misstep. I saw Bob Woodward was on Anderson Stewart tonight with his 'Rage' book. They were already slamming Trump within the first few minutes.
Right now I think it's 50-50.
Biden had a Huuge advantage couple months ago until the looting started.
Now Trump's rhetoric about how the protesters are radical left and Biden can't do much seems to be working. This is a huge predicament to Biden since he has to figure out how to get all the SJWs to vote for him all the while creeping into enough centrists and independents. Personally I'm not seeing much coverage of Biden's denunciation of QAnon and looters, something centrists and independents would like. Probably because the news, both left and right, is all about Trump (which Trump knows how to use at his advantage).
Unless Biden starts going after Trump's own hypocrisies (like how he energizes the radical right all the while criticizing Biden for doing so with the radical left, how Trump didn't denounce violence caused by the radical right in the past, etc...), then maybe he might gain an edge again? Also, Biden really needs to raise his voice and start getting a lot of media attention.
I think it's up to the debate performances at this point.
Do you think Biden’s gonna have any chance in the debates though? I mean he can barely read off the teleprompter. Trump is loud, not always right but loud, he knows how to talk even if it’s bullshit. That’s how he wins. On a side note, imagine a fist fight at the debates, Biden already challenged him to a fight a few times, and trump is not gonna back down if challenged. Embarrassing for the country but hilarious.
Biden in real life is a fiesty guy who forgets to filter himself.
I just don't get why people buy the whole "Sleepy Joe" rhetoric. Biden, regardless of what people think, is a fairly shrewd politician. His gaffes are very likely intentional (you know the whole average Joe thing and how he tries to be approachable). And his low energy moments are just him at bad moments. We've also seen Trump being pretty low energy every once in a while.

Yeah I’m interested to see the debates.
I've never really taken political sides on this forum and won't start. But I do think that the news need to be very careful in their portrayal of both candidates. The more they villianize Trump and prop up Biden by looking past his blunders, the less credibility it will hold with moderate or educated voters who are looking to get a proper analysis on arguments made by both sides. Bloomberg had an interesting piece on this today which made me think about this (https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2020-09-15/biden-s-mistakes-shouldn-t-be-explained-away-by-reporters?srnd=premium&sref=2CnkDEjR). Now the author may not be completely correct in his opinion given opeds can be purely anecdotal, but if you look at the liberal narrative vs the republican narrative from either wing of the reporting party (ie. WaPo vs. Fox News), you'll generally see the left newspapers address the dem candidate blunders upfront but rationalize them (and when I say rationalize I mean in a way which may draw doubt from readers) whereas the right-wing reporting often just doesn't address any missteps with their candidate. Not sure which is more right or wrong but something I've noticed. Curious to hear thoughts on this
I agree with the point on the media trying so hard to defend Biden somehow.
It just makes him look disingenuous and most likely doesn't work in his favor. Tbh, the media is so overwhlemed by their hate for Trump that they are not really thinking strategically.
