Brown and Black Shoes with Navy Suit

I am going to be a IB summer analyst in NYC next summer, don't know if its going to be in person but I am thinking about buying 2 pairs of dress shoes. I have heard conflicting opinions about pairing brown shoes with a navy suit. Is it better to be on the conservative side and just stick with black shoes always with a navy and charcoal suit at least while being an intern. 

This was the shoe I wanted to buy in both black and brown, was wondering if anyone had worn it before and thought it was good quality as well?
