Investment Banking after Masters

I majored in an unrelated field in undergrad and then worked for a year and a half. I just started a masters in finance this fall. Am I less likely to get hired at an investment bank because of the time spent working? Also, have you ever seen someone become an IB analyst at 25? Obviously there are many other deterrents, but I'm wondering if this ever even happens.

Less worn track but seen it done. This is over said, but it is still accurate: network with every banker who will speak to you and see where the chips fall

Anything is really possible, but will take a lot of networking and being able to articulate your “why?”.

Similar position I was in. Did a biology major for undergrad at a big non-target, worked for 1 year then did an MBA at the same non target (free tuition for both undergrad and MBA due to college athletics and graduate assistantship which made it worth it). Got a PE internship which helped me increase my resume and get in the door at MMs and boutiques. Started at 24 as an Analyst at a regional boutique in August, but did receive an upper MM offer and one other boutique offer. Only reason I was able to get through the door was through the connections I built from the PE internship....so yes, it is doable but will require more than others.
