Got a lateral offer to better firm, what to do?

2nd year at lower tier EB (Greenhill, PWP, etc) and got a lateral offer from (Evercore, GS, PJT, etc). I really like my team and I was top bucket my first year but I don’t know if I should take it. It’s in a location I want to be and will give me exposure to the types of deals I want. I’m close with 2 mds on my team (shoot the shit with them, they take me and other analysts out for drinks sometimes). Want umm PE and didn’t recruit last year

Any group info? Better firms don’t mean better pe exits

sounds like very good stint and you def know better about your situation than most people here.

On a separate note, I am not at any of the top 3 places you listed but was about to secure a reputable UMM PE from off-cycle. Feel free to pm.

I think about this frequently. Usually I come back to a core concept that generally bodes well for folks: Dance with the one that brung ya
