London School of Economics - LSE reputation?
How is LSE regarded by the IB community in America? I've heard many different opinions. Some say that LSE isn't a target uni at all in the US but some say it will still be useful. Do many LSE graduates work on Wall Street?
Thanks

What about NLSE, the New London School of Economics? I believe it's in Connecticut.

I'd rather work for piper jaffray
does piper jaffray has trading floors ?
I pass by the Goldman Sachs office everyday on my way to class and I live about ten minutes away from the campus. Indeed, LSE is that awesome.
What GPA is normally required to even be considered for admissions into LSE?
Thanks
for grad programs need a 3.5 from US to apply, for other countries it varies http://www2.lse.ac.uk/graduateProspectus2010/entryRequirements/Home.aspx
LSE's reputation in London, NY, HK (Originally Posted: 08/21/2008)
Hey guys, I'm an undergrad going into my final year at the LSE and my question is:
Is the LSE's reputation as good in NY or HK as it is in London?
I know that LSE is with Oxbridge in the eyes of London recruiters, but I was wondering if they were considered in that first tier at NY.
I was also thinking that since LSE is highly respected and reknown throughout Hong Kong due to the city's connection with the UK, that I might also have an easier time applying to HK than NY.
I wasn't considering staying in London before but I feel like if there is a large disparity in competition due to a difference in perceived school reputation, that I might consider staying in London.
Thanks for the help!
