Holy shit, imagine playing poker for your final round interview. That's like them saying, "here's my hot wife, you must prove yourself by sleeping with her tonight and making her wild...expect to hear back from HR around Friday."
I got hired with no experience (although a finance major with a solid gpa) and a professional poker background. The psychology aspect is nearly exactly the same. These articles all talk about firms hiring "gamblers". I wouldn't consider good poker players to be gamblers. We are just good at making split second +EV decisions and not afraid to put our money down for a slight edge. I consider each hand of poker to be an investment, not a gamble.

What role did poker play in the interview? Did they ask for any charts, or quiz you on specifics?

That's amazing... Not sure if poker skills = trading skills though?
The industry of trading never ceases to be interesting!
