Best resource for lower-middle market comparable analyses
I am looking for the best resource for information and multiples on lower-middle market precedent transactions. Specifically, multiples on deals that do not publicize the terms of the deal through a press release.
Thanks in advance for the guidance.
If the data isn't public, it isn't public.
Check press releases, industry related blogs, media commentary on the transaction, and CapIQ, etc. If it's not available through those sources, you likely won't be able to get it, unless you know someone at either the target or acquirer that is willing to disclose it to you.
There are a couple of databases here (they aren't free): http://valuationresources.com/TransactionData.htm
The ones I've used are generally okay. Not a lot of recent transactions, though. M&A Insight is completely worthless.
