Interview
The interview began with a 1-on-1, mostly behavioral, focused on whether you understood what economic consulting is and why you are interested in AG. I then went on to the second step which was 3.5 hours meeting with various people at the location you're interested in. Mostly behavioral but some questions pertaining to econometric/data analysis concepts.
Interview Questions
Some questions worth keeping in would be understanding basic econometric concepts and models you learned/have experience with. Others asked data analytic scenarios like how you would deal with missing variables in the dataset.

Had an initial 30 minute chat with two current (junior) analysts. Asked to describe a time working with data . If you mention regression, they will ask about dependent and independent variables. Heard back about a final round two weeks later. Five back to back 30 minute interviews. Thought they went pretty well, but was told that I applied super late and they only had a couple of spots left, so could not take me on.

Interview
First interview was a preliminary phone screen/zoom interview. Quick 30 minute interview with 2 analysts, almost entirely behavioral questions and talk of prior work

Heard back a week later for the second round, which happened the next week (2 weeks after original interview). It was a full day of 6 separate back-to-back interviews (in non-covid times they said they would've flown me out for the full super day type experience). Relatively easy interviews as well, almost entirely focuseed on fit and prior quantitative work. Definitely practice behavioral questions and why AG often, and prepare to talk in depth about a past project or two. Heard back from that a few days later.

Phone Interview
Interview
Reached out to an alum beforehand, attended a virtual info. session then sent in an application online. Phone interview arranged a week later, then results came out 4 days after phone interview.
Interview Questions
Nothing too difficult, but know your econometrics. Make sure you know your research & data analysis experience inside out. I had some answers to behavioral questions planned beforehand relating to my campus leadership experience, but my interviewer honed in on behaviorals related to my data analysis internship experience, so make sure you have a good story behind every experience you have listed on your resume. I think I got dinged because I did not prepare well enough to talk about my teamwork/collaboration story for my internship and had to make it up on the spot (plus I'm also an international student, so maybe they just gave me the phone screen as a courtesy to the alum I contacted? Oh well). Other than that, the interviewer was nice and the whole interview was very conversational.
