Summer Analyst Debt Capital Market Origination Latin America

Applied online with no networking. Received email to attend Superday 2 weeks after submitting application. Interview in NYC and met with team. 5 interviews around 30 minutes each. Mix of behavioural and technical questions. All questions revolved around capital raising process with a lot of questions on debt (effect of debt on fin statements, what type of company issues debt, why issue debt, current rates, tell me more about latin america economics/politics, etc). The team seemed more interested in my views of politics and understanding of latin america economies than anything else. Very intelligent and nice people. I was challenged to think outside the box about Latin America politics and had a good discussion with team members about economic and political environments across the world. The team looked very happy and everyone had a smile on their face. Everyone was very polite and seemed to be full of energy/enjoy their jobs.
