I applied online after a referral from a friend working there. The process was quick starting with online assessment inclusive of mental maths n probability questions. Thereafter I proceeded to phone and 1 on 1 interview. After 2 weeks I was asked to choose slot for superday. It consisted of 2 interviews. The interview was easier than the one on one interview. Only 1 question involving market making game was quite difficult but easy from the other top firms

Interview
Went through the typical online hiring process at Barclays. Got my invite to take an online skills and behavioral assessment within 48 hours. The behavioral exam was simple, typically pick your preferences in work attitude and which statement best aligns to how you think. The skills assessment was not difficult but wasn't easy. I had to schedule meetings while adjusting for time overlaps, find patterns in data, and other skills games.

A few days later I was invited to take a virtual interview, HireVue style, basic behavioral questions: "Why Barclays?", "What motivated you to apply?", etc.. After about three weeks I got a congratulatory email stating I've made it to the last stage and that a recruiter will reach out within a few business days. Got an email and an invite for two 1 on 1 Teams interviews. Once again, strictly behavioral, they asked questions about leadership roles, adversity in the workplace and a time when you had to adjust for risk.

Three weeks later, I'm still waiting for an answer on whether or not I got the interview. The recruiters and interviewers, both Directors of Risk, said that regardless of if you are selected, they will reach out an inform you that you weren't selected via email.

The first two rounds of the test consisted of a mixed aptitude and personality test, which required you to do things such as calculations, email writing, personality-based decision making questions under time pressure. This was followed by a super day at the bank in which we had two interviews - one on our CV, with brain teasers, and one on a case study we were sent 48 hours in advance. The case study was about potential fundraise for a company, deciding between different types of debt (bond, amortising loan, bullet loan, etc.)

Interview
Applied online. Contacted by the team's AVP (basically Barclays' term for an associate). First phone call wasn't technical, it was more seeing how interested I was in IB / seemed like she was using best judgement to see if I'm smart enough to pass along to Directors/MDs, and if I have the discipline to work for her. Technical skills were tested with Director on the team (surprisingly), and 1 other director & 2 MD interviews were basically personality based / how much you know about the vertical their team covers (make sure to know recent or notable/huge deals the team you're interviewing with advised on!!). One MD also played bad cop on the entire interview (just to see how I would react), and then at the end complimented me for handling the situation so well and explained what he was trying to do (he turned out to be awesome and nice).
Interview Questions
When the Managing Director was EXTREMELY tough the entire interview, only to find out at the end that he was playing bad cop to see how I handle myself in a situation like that.

Interview
Not technical at all, which was interesting given the questions I was asked were more critical thinking/behavioral questions. Honestly believe this is how most places should be, given you typically learn everything you need from the job. I applied online, completed a skills test and immediately was invited to a Superday. The Superday consisted of 2 1-on-1 interviews with MDs.
