Interview
First I met with a member of the team at BlackArch, discussed BAP's history, recent transactions, and my motivations. Next was a first round phone interview with a VP we discussed mostly technical questions mainly surrounding what my favorite company was. After that, I was invited to Superday where I had a series of 30-minute meetings with different members of the team at BlackArch (mainly VPs and MDs).
Interview Questions
Most of the questions were behavioral of the technical questions I remember,
1. Walk me through the different ways you can value a company.
2. Walk me through how a $10 increase in depreciation would impact the financial statements
3. Walk me through how buying a new piece of equipment with debt would impact the financial statements
4. What's your favorite company (this one was a little tricky because my interviewer expected me to know the each of the companies key strategy decisions, why they made them, and what their effect was on the business)
5. What are the different ways a PE firm makes money
