Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Applied on the company's website.

1. Initial application has essay questions about Bloomberg. You are expected to write about what Bloomberg does, what their core products are, why you are interested in Bloomberg, and why you are a fit.

2. 1-2 weeks after initial application, I received a HireVue with 7 questions, some people get less questions. Questions were: tell me about yourself, what does the group do, what relevant skills do you have, tell me about a recent news article and how it affects the markets/bbg clients, a question about how to prioritize clients (urgency vs. hierarchy kind of thing), why analytics &or sales, etc. Very straightforward.

3. BBG says you should expect to hear back within 10 business days of submitting your HireVue but it took me a little longer than that to hear back. At this point, I received an invite to the superday. It is usually in-person, but was held virtually bc of covid. Structure was no different from what you see online. Started the day with a simulation/job-shadowing session followed by a group presentation. You are given some market research and asked to answer a few questions in a 5-10 minute presentation with a group of other interviewees. It's not complicated at all, just be a good teammate. After the group presentation, I had an interview with one manager in analytics and one manager in sales, IIRC they are supposed to be two separate 30 min 1v1 interviews but mine was 1 hour with both managers at once. Asked me about bloomberg, some basic markets questions (current events/trends, very simple, you drive the conversation), sales simulation (you will either get asked to sell something or to role-play in a sales situation, they may or may not stress test you but if you keep calm and ask good leading questions and display excellent customer service you should be ok), and then some more situational questions and stuff about my prior xp. The night before the superday there was a candidate prep session as well.

4. I've seen some people get offers after the superday, but I heard back immediately the following week about a final round 1 on 1 interview with an analytics manager. I am assuming this is your potential hiring manager. It will be one hour long and will consist of more or less the same stuff you've encountered throughout the process, but maybe more in detail or with more scrutiny. Nothing to stress or worry about but be prepared like you were on the super day and expect anything about Bloomberg, the markets, finance, and sales. I didn't get any questions that weren't similar to what you see on here and on Glassdoor.

Something to note about the process is that your actual interviewers are not given your resume, so make sure your "tell me about yourself" is comprehensive and spot on, as that will set the precedence for the rest of your interview. BBG loves this approach as it is truly about your fit and competency regarding the role and nothing else. Overall a very enjoyable process, people are nice, HR is responsive, they want you to succeed, and there is nothing wacky or unexpected. You can expect to hear back after the final round within 2 weeks.
