Analyst

1) Online test multiple choice (english, logical, technical) you won't have time to fill in everything (mentionned in the tests) so you should be more focused on answering properly than on the quantity. You will not receive the feedback before a couple of weeks.

2) You come to their office on another day and you will be questionned during 4-5hours. In my case, I started with the HR. Typical questions: Why Deloitte, why CF, what are your future plans, strenghts and weaknesses,...
After that 3 other rounds, each time with a senior analyst (=associate) and a manager/director (=VP/director).

First couple asked me questions about accounting: impact of an increase of depreciations on the 3 financial statements, entry of operational leases vs financial leases, explaining the different method of inventory valuation (LIFO, FIFO) and which one were allowed under IFRS vs local GAAP and US GAAP,...

Second couple interviewed me on valuation methods: walking through DCF, trading multiples, Gordon model, real options,...

Third couple's questions were about LBO, why do they occur, explain the debt push down, some key metrics (leverage, cash conversion),...

Then a final round with the partner (=MD), question were about my personality, and what I was thinking about the department + questions on the news and "common knowledge" (Jan2015): what do you think about the election in Greece, why did the CHF increased, tell me about a stock that you are following, talk about some large recent mergers, impact of UCITS IV on the PE industry in Luxembourg,...
