Interview
The interview process was relatively standard, and very quick since for this position they were opportunistically filling a vacated spot. First step was screening call with one of the mid level investment professionals, with basic behavioral questions. Next steps were a few phone call interviews with some of the other members of the investment team. No hard technical skills were required, but they were looking for hard work, good attitude, and basic understanding of financial accounting and investment principles, for a job that was mostly going to be performance reporting for their fund investing.
Interview Questions
None of the questions were particularly unexpected. Mostly just gauging the work you did at past internships (or jobs), gauging basic excel skills (eg pivot tables), explaining the 3 financial statements.

Position was in their DC office on their real estate equity group. Seemed to click quite well with the MD who runs that region but unfortunately they went with an internal candidate. Generally speaking, didn't hit me with too many technical questions.
Interview Questions

Interview
I contacted a friend at the company and he gave my resume to the HR staff at MetLife. I was contacted for an initial chat over the phone with 2 individuals for a phone screen. I then had an interview over Cisco Webex with someone from the department I was applying to. She asked simple behavioral questions and questions about my interest in real estate investing.
Interview Questions
The interviewer asked me about a challenge I faced where I was a leader and inspired change.

Interview
Real estate interview asking standard technical questions such as calculating cash on cash / $100mm question.
Interview Questions
The most difficult questions as usual are personality based. Strengths and weaknesses etc. it is easy to memorize the correct answers to technical questions by doing lots and lots of reps but the personality questions are always something I struggled with. One hard question that I got asked at several firms is (and this is interesting being that I am younger) is what do you remember from the financial crisis and how would you carry those lessons forward today. I haven’t seen this question posted anywhere else.

Interview
Applied through the on campus website and got a first round interview. The questions were all behavioral and situational. Very straightforward
Interview Questions
There was nothing that was particularly unexpected. The gentleman asked about my background and past experiences even though they were not particularly related to the position and then followed up with asking how I would react to different situations. Many of the questions were similar and had some overlap. A few were asked about how I would interact with group members in different scenarios or on different projects. Really nice guy, just looking for you to have a confident answer and hit some of the key concepts.
