Interview
Due to my background is highly matched with their ongoing projects, I quickly got response for interviews after I emailed CV. They were doing projects intersecting with Large Language Models and Operations Research, which was rarely studied in that time. The interviews were proposed very quickly, about 2 days after I submitting my CV. And there were totally two rounds of interviews. First one was a phone call, which determined more about my situtations, such as the time period I could afford for the internship, what direction I wanted to study if I got this internship, and the future plan after graduation. Then we scheduled an online meeting, which was the technical meeting. Firstly briefly introduce myself, and interviewer would question some. The most important part is that the interviewer wanna to make sure that my background match their ongoing projects, therefore he asked a lot of quetions about the fields involving their projects, for example, some basic knowledges of LLMs, how to finetune, how to solve OR problems using ML, the difficulty of applyging LLM for OR.... After checking that I really matched, they proposed some leetcode algorithms for me, which seemed medium.
Interview Questions

Interview

It was a video interview. A lot of the questions they asked me were situation-based questions, such as you working in a group and one member isn't contributing as much as everyone else. What do you do in this situation?

The interview started off well until they started asking me some really difficult questions such as how would you explain the cloud to a 7-year old.
