Applied online, first round with a senior banker in fixed income division. Rest of the interviews were with corporate banking team in SF focused on technology. One interview with team analysts, one with an analyst and director, and final round with MD and Director.
Interview Questions
Unexpected interview question was regarding tennis balls and an airplane. The other questions were fairly routine behavioral and financial accounting questions. The other questions asked were to see fit and motivation for working at specific group within the bank.

You have an excel with data from individuals loans, every row is one bond/ticker. Let's say column A: has the nominal amount of the bond, B: has the rating, C: the WARP, D: the spread, etc. Bond n1: is 400m with a spread of 3%, bond n2:  390 of 3.1%, bond n3: 400 with 2.9%, list goes on and on (stays in the same range, it’s just to give a ballpark estimate) What is the approx. weighted average spread, and how would you do it on excel, what formula would you use?
You have a bond maturing in 6 years, nominal: 100, 5% coupon: How much does it pay per year?
Can you sell on the secondary market if yes, at what price? (I mentioned that it depends, for example if the interest rates have moved, he immediately follow up with:
